Ball bearing performance

Ball bearing performance

Oct 01, 2019

The hardness of the retainer is lower than that of the ball and ring, and its materials are metal (e.g. medium carbon steel, aluminum alloy) or non-metallic (e.g. tiferon, PTEF, polymer material). Rolling bearings have less friction resistance than the shaft neck bearings, so at the same speed, the temperature generated by friction is lower.

Ball bearings are generally used in equipment with low-load mechanical drives. Because the bearing area of ball bearings is small, in the case of high-speed operation is very easy to appear serious mechanical damage, so in the heavy load of mechanical transmission often take the roller-bearing bearings to increase the bearing surface, improve the efficiency of mechanical transmission, while reducing mechanical damage.

Ball bearings change the friction mode of bearings, the use of rolling friction, this way is more effective to reduce the friction between bearing surfaces, improve the service life of fan bearings, and therefore extend the life of the radiator. The disadvantage is that the process is more complex, cost-enhancing, and leads to higher work noise.
